She was just writing about a school auction at her kid's school and you wrote about attending a school auction not too long ago. Let's just say if this school is lucky enough to have 2 such amazingly talented women as mommy volunteers, then it is lucky indeed. I would attend a school fundraiser just to get to meet the two of you. (If I didn't live all the way in Louisiana, that is...) Last night, I was reading Strega Nona Magic Lessons to my 4 year old in which Big Anthony dresses up at "Antonia" to trick Strega Nona into teaching him magic. It's so OBVIOUS that it's Big Anthony, especially because he is revealed in the end. We have read this book a kabillion times and, last night, my daughter said, "It's interesting that Antonia is wearing Big Anthony's shoes". I said, "Honey! Big Anthony IS Antonia". She turned to me with the most serious face and said, "I did not realize that." Of course, I'm a sucker for a kid who opts out of a contraction. Wow...this comment seems less topical than it did in my head but I've spent so much time on it that I am going to post it anyway. I'll probably have commenter's remorse later but what the hell.
