Loving your box (is that okay to say?). You are funny. And courageous. And I have that exact same hot water bottle (Eli's).

This may be a bit off topic but why is Eli using a hot water bottle?

You know what sucks about sneaking blog reads at work? Some of the stupid filters in place prevent some chicks' boxes from working properly. I mean, here's Jenn, presenting her box in typical mammalian fashion, and here's me completely unable to appreciate it.

Now I'm yelling my safe word, which is ironically not safe for work!

My husband and I laughed and laughed at this. With you. Not at you of course. I regularly ponder the horror of the Band Aid song. In fact I pondered it this very week. Being from South Africa originally I always yell, "YEAH GOOD THING TOO OR THEY WOULD ALL DIE" at the radio when they sing sorrowfully, "And there wont be snow in Africa this Christmas..."

Ok let me tell you Band Aide. There is SUN in Africa this Christmas and they are getting down and partying like nobody's business.
It's awesome there at Christmas time. Tons of fun to be had. You should be WISHING it were you. I am.

My whole family is there today. And they are exceedingly fun. Only I remain here in the frozen tundra. Sigh. Although I have a family of my own here so its not that bad. Not bad at all.

Still swimming and a braai (BBQ) on Christmas day will always seem more festive to me then whatever it is we are supposed to do here in the snow. Anyway, thank you for bringing attention to this travesty. I am so glad I am not alone.

I find my peace in the fact that it is from the 80's and there is something charming about the ethnocentric, politically incorrect naivete of the 80's.

Their hearts were in the right place. Bless them.

Merry Christmas to you! Hope you have a Festivas Miracle today.
