“THAT HURT LIKE A MOTHERF*CKER BUT I FORGIVE YOU”: a limerick sans Nantucket

I say to need—aloud, or in this space
Bless or deride?
Connect or divide?
What would you create in my place?

Yes, because Dooce and Finslippy never talk about anything other than motherhood (?!).
We all do more than care for our children every day. We have to. Our children are the most precious thing, but there is more to life and more to each mother than just mothering.
Keep the poems coming, dear. Even mothers need some beauty now and then.
