We have some friends in VA who are seriously considering a yurt. Some of them are pretty swank.
I lived in a yurt for a while (sadly, not off the grid). They’re pretty darn awesome — except in stormy weather
— I recommend.
I’m probably not a yurt gal but i think Pamela is correct, some of them are pretty swank!
We were thinking of doing the yurt thing for a while. Currently, the apartment thing is working out alright, so we’re taking our time to research. But I agree with the general consensus so far…yurts are pretty awesome.
Our yurt currently has power, via a long electrical cable, but I can turn if off if you’d like a more authentic experience. And you’re welcome to it for as long as you’d like. Relocating it to North Adams costs extra, but not much extra…
