Bedtime postcard

Bedtime was beautiful! Wish you were there! Why weren’t you there?

Uttered last night:

1. So you’re saying the Bible LIED.

2. Nobody loves me not even the animals. Everybody hates me. EVEN PRESIDENT BAMA.

3. I gave you this germ so you should hate me. No, you should. You should HATE me.

4. Is it okay to be mad at God? Good, then I’m MAD AT GOD.

5. Grumpiness means you are allowed to be grumpy at other people for things they do.

Profoundest sympathies….although it makes for exceptionally entertaining blogging.

I am dying to know what lie you accused the Bible of :D

Good luck for tonight. Bedtime sucks.

Ah, nothing more charming than I tired little girl. They come up with the most off center accusations, don’t they? I hope next time will be a little easier.

wow. To me this sounds so normal and even quite amusing from afar but I’m trying to imagine what it would be like to actually hear these things at bedtime from you own children and it certainly sucks. On the bright side, item number five is proof that you have taught them to have an unusual awareness of their own feelings and state of mind, which most of us don’t grasp until way too late. So way to go you.

That is the best definition of grumpiness I have ever heard. I have the grumpiness today, and I will use that on my children.

How do you keep a straight face? Seriously? The line about “…. even President Bama” would have made me laugh outloud.

Perhaps it’s more amusing to me since they aren’t my chiildren and I’m not trying desperately to get them to go to bed.

If it makes you feel any better, Jenn, I discovered that I had a 1/2″ thick layer of frost on the INSIDE of my attic today when it started melting and water starting running through the attic hatch. All I could see was dollar signs.

I think I know just which one of your charming girls this is. Oh boy. It’s right up there with my dear 5-year-old son’s “I should never have been born, nobody at school likes me, I have had the hardest life and I’m tired.” Oh boy!

OMG, I totally didn’t know that about the Bible!

Oh…and how nice that she thinks President Obama cares about her. See, the whole world really has shifted since Bush left office.
